HEAR FROM OUR RIDERS
Here’s why Australian equestrian riders are choosing to ride on Treadlite:
“When I researched the market for a product to improve my arena surface, I found numerous options. However, each had their limitations, there were ones that needed; a never ending supply of water, a totally new sand to mix with their product, a specific type of sand, or an endless supply of funds. This is not the case with Treadlite. I love this product because; it mixes extremely well with any sand that you already have, it’s easy to install, reduces the need to rake and water the arena consistently, drains extremely well, feels amazing to ride on, and it is so affordable.”
Gary Lung – Grand Prix Dressage Rider
“The horses move so well through their whole body on Treadlite. I cant recommend it enough.”
Megan Jones – Olympian & World Equestrian Games Event Rider
“I Have had my Treadlite arena surface for around a year now. The horses feel confident underfoot and it mixed in well with my synthetic sand surface. It is not at all slippery when soaked with water and I find the surface to suppress the dust. All good at Danson Dressage.”
Heather Currie – Grand Prix Dressage Rider

HEAR FROM OUR EQUESTRIAN CENTERS
Here’s why equestrian centers are choosing to ride on Treadlite:
ST PETERS SCHOOL, CAMBRIDGE
25mm of Treadlite + 40mm of sand. High use private school – First weekend after install had 400 horses jump on it!
“St Peter’s Equestrian Centre upgraded their 8100 square meters sand arena to Treadlite in July last year. We wanted a surface that would reduce the concussion in the horses’ legs, reduce injury to riders in the event of a fall and be easy to maintain.
Dealing with Tracy and Brad was a breeze, and both understood our needs and work within the time restrictions of our venue when it came to installing the new surface.
St Peter’s Equestrian couldn’t be more pleased with the result. Not only does it look great, but the Treadlite finish has reduced the glare and watering is now at a minimum. The maintenance of the surface is so easy and quick. The arena is used daily by both students and public bookings for jumping and dressage training. The surface continues to cope exceptionally well in all weather and all events.
We are very happy with the outcome and highly recommend Treadlite as a surface of high quality and one that is safe for both horse and rider.”

NATIONAL EQUESTRIAN CENTER, TAUPO
25mm of Treadlite. High use competition arena.
“The NEC Taupo arena, now named the “Treadlite Arena,” is a 60×20 high-use crusher dust arena that previously suffered from extreme hardness and frequent complaints. To address these issues, 25mm of Treadlite was applied, significantly reducing dust and compaction problems. The transformation has been remarkable; what was once a retired arena is now actively used as a competition arena at our National Equestrian Centre.”
SOLWAY EQUESTRIAN ACADEMY, WAIRARAPA
20mm of Treadlite. High use training and competition arena.
“Solway Arena faced significant dust issues, impacting the local town due to its close proximity. The region experiences extremely hot and dry summers, with temperatures often reaching 35°C for weeks. The arena, spanning 8,200 square meters, lacked a watering system, leading to concerns about dust and surface hardness, especially since it hosts Grand Prix jumping and dressage events. To address these issues, 195 bags of Treadlite were applied to achieve a 20mm coverage, effectively reducing dust and improving the footing quality.”
NATIONAL EQUESTRIAN CENTER, CHRISTCHURCH
20mm of Treadlite. High use training and competition arena.
“We have utilised Treadlite companies’ services for both the supply and assistance with the application of your product. The advice that we have received has always been prompt and accurate to the point where the committee can discuss clearly and implement their decision.
We have always been happy with both the service, and more importantly the product. Before we started utilising Treadlite, there was a lot of investigation done by many people as to the best product for our conditions. One of the catalyst’s was the installation of irrigation on all our competition surfaces. This means that we can effectively dampen the sand and Treadlite mix, to hopefully give our riders the best surface possible for them to both train and compete on.
The feedback has been that the riders (and equines) are more than happy with the surface. The maintenance during competitions is minimal. The main requirement is for watering to assist with dust suppression. Overall, the dust is not a major problem, but we are prone to Norwest winds which can dry any surface no matter the preparation. We are happy to endorse the product and the company.”
